Terms of Service

In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Yusheng Studio, and "you" means the person using the service.

These Terms set out the agreement between you and us when you use WalkingReader. By sending us a book for a free sample, or by placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to everything below. Please also read our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Revisions Policy, which are part of these Terms.

00Eligibility

To use WalkingReader and place an order, you must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract in the country where you live (in most places, at least 18). By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

01What we provide

You send us a whole book that you already own. We rebuild it into a complete, listening-adapted English audiobook and deliver it to you as MP3 audio files, narrated by an AI voice.

• It is a complete audiobook of the whole book, adapted for listening. It is not a summary, and it is not a translation.
• There is no ebook, PDF, or text deliverable — you already have the source book you sent us. We deliver audio only.
• This is a custom service we produce one book at a time, to your order. It is not a ready-made catalog. We do not sell, stockpile, or resell anyone else's copyrighted content.
• A real person (the studio's founder) handles each order by hand. The narration itself is generated by AI — see Section 02.

02AI-generated narration

The audio we deliver is narrated by an AI voice. The voice is a human-like (near-human) AI voice — it is not human voice acting, not a real human podcast, and it never impersonates a real human recording.

Because the narration is AI-generated, it may contain occasional errors or inaccuracies. If you find a clear error after delivery, we offer a limited number of free revisions (see our Refund & Revisions Policy).

We do not guarantee that the deliverable is free of errors or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Deliverables are provided "as is."

03Your rights in the book, and copyright

When you send us a book to produce, you represent and warrant that:

• You have lawful access to the book and the right to use it for your own personal purposes — for example, you bought a legitimate copy, or the work is in the public domain;
• You will use the deliverable only for your own personal study and enjoyment — not for resale, public distribution, publication, or any commercial use; and
• You will not ask us to process content you have no right to use.

For works that are in the public domain, the personal-use restriction above does not apply — but you are responsible for confirming the public-domain status of the work.

Copyright in the original work always remains with its original author and publisher. We acquire no rights in it, claim no rights in it, and distribute it to no third party. Please support legitimate copies. If the content you send infringes someone else's rights, you are responsible for that, and we may decline or stop the work.

04How an order works

The process is simple and there is no account or sign-up:

• You send us the book (ideally the source file, e.g. PDF or EPUB) and a contact email;
• We make a free sample from a real passage of that same book — no sign-up and no prepayment;
• You pay only after you are satisfied with the sample;
• We then produce the whole book and deliver it as MP3 audio files.

Files are delivered through a time-limited private download link, which expires after a short period (about 7 days). While we still hold the files, we will re-send the link for free on request. We delete uploaded source files and finished deliverables after the revision window — see our Privacy Policy for retention details — so please download and keep your own copy promptly.

05Price and payment

• Prices are in US dollars (USD) and collected through Stripe. The current pricing is US$12.99 for standard audio and US$28.99 for premium audio quality (the same complete content, a more expressive voice). Very long books are quoted separately.
• For longer or more complex books, we quote the price first and only begin work after you confirm.
• We never see or store your full card details. Stripe collects and holds your payment information under Stripe's own privacy policy; we do not handle full card information.

06Using what we deliver

The MP3 files we deliver are yours, for your own personal use. They are not locked into any app. Please do not use the deliverable for resale, public release, broadcasting, or commercial distribution.

07Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service and the deliverables are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any order is capped at the amount you actually paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you (for example, liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer under mandatory consumer-protection law). Where you deal with us as a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights.

08Changes to these Terms, and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and mark it with a new date. If you continue to use the service after an update, that means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the courts of Singapore. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live.

09General

If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Revisions Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service; if they conflict, these Terms control. You may not transfer your order or these Terms to anyone else without our agreement, and these Terms create no rights for any third party. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
